The Electrotechnical Certification Scheme and Capita - providing a safer working environment
Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Checks for Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) members
As one of the UK’s leading specialists in pre-employment screening and referencing, Capita is working with the ECS to provide enhanced CRB checks on their behalf.
Safeguarding vulnerable people – CRB Checks & ISA Vetting & Barring Scheme
CRB checks are now often required for individuals in the electrotechnical industry when they work in schools, care homes, hospitals and other establishments which are responsible for vulnerable people. Many local authority contract tenders require you to have a CRB check done. For more information concerning the ISA Scheme and the impact it will have on you, please either visit www.isa-gov.org.uk or contact a member of the Capita E-Bulk Umbrella Team on 0870 850 2516. Capita will be able to assist you with the ISA registration process when the new legislation comes into force.
The ECS CRB ID check card
Holders of ECS cards are now able to request a separate photo identity CRB check card, which will confirm their clearance by the CRB.
What’s involved?
Candidates must complete an online CRB Disclosure Application Form (DAF), which will ask you to provide personal information and previous address details covering the past five years. Proof of current address and verification of your identity will also be required.
