Criminal Record Bureau checks

The Drug Licensing and Compliance Unit (DLCU) intends to introduce Enhanced Disclosure CRB checks for all of those named on application forms for Controlled Drug domestic licences and Precursor Chemical Category 1 licences and Category 2 and 3 registrations.

DLCU gains the legal power to introduce CRB checks on 12 October.

DLCU has contracted Capita Recruitment Vetting Service (CRVS), one of the UK’s leading specialist pre-employment screening and referencing organisations to provide a scheme to assist DLCU licence applicants to obtain CRB checks.

If you are applying for a DLCU licence please contact CRVS on 0870 850 2516 (Monday to Friday 9.00 to 5.30) in order to complete your Disclosure Application. During the call all aspects of the Disclosure Application process will be explained to you.

The cost of a CRB check is £57.15 inclusive of VAT. There is an additional charge of £5 payable to the Post Office for the Veri-fy identity checking process.
